I've been trying to track down the regimental histories of both the 10th Mississippi Infantry and the 1st Mississippi Light Artillery. I can't seem to find either anywhere. My ancestor, Oliver Perry Niley, first enlisted in the 10th Inf., then when his year expired he enlisted in the 1st Lt. Art. He was captured at Vicksburg, sent to camp Alton,IL then on the way to Fort Delaware he jumped the train in PA, changed his name and set up camp there. Any information as to where I can get a copy of these histories would be greatly appreciated.
