In Villepigue's report of the battle of Corinth, he mentioned only 2 regiments, 33rd and 39th Mississippi, but the reports of all his regimental commanders are missing.
He had been in command of the post at Grenada just prior to Corinth and listed his command as : 33rd Miss., 39th Miss., 12th La., 1st CSA battalion, and detachments of 20th Miss. and 1st Ala. I have never been able to locate the rest of his brigade at Corinth but think it probably included these units from Grenada. Any thoughts on this?
