Looking for information on the units that made up Dahlgren's Coast Brigade stationed along the Mississippi Coast from the summer of 1861 through April 1862. We are trying to confirm the units stationed at Pass Christian and at Shieldsboro. A measles out break hit these men in the Camps of Instruction in the fall of 1861. I am attempting to develop a list of casualties and possible burials there as part of the research on the 7th Miss. Inf. regimental history, "Lest We Forget-The Immortal Seventh Mississippi".

Please confirm any rosters of casualties for the following units:

3rd Miss. Inf., 4th La. Inf., Brown's Artillery, Seven Stars Artillery, Hoskin's Brookhaven Light Artillery, Miss. cavalry units and any La. Artillery units. Any letters, diaries, official reports, photos welcomed. Particularly of interest would be names of casualties of the measles outbreak in the fall of 1861.
