I am searching for reports on Harvey Everett Topp, a member of both the 19th(Co. K) and 31st(Co.G) Infantry Regiments from Mississippi. I have found information about his older brother, William H. Topp, who was in the 2nd Mississippi Infantry Regiment. William survied the war.
Evidently Harvey Everett Topp did not. His wife returned to her home and family in Tennessee prior to 1865. Their son, my great granadfather, was born in 1862. So presumably he was alive in 1861, and probably a few years more. While the family kept detailed records about everyone else before and after Harvey, these is no information on where or how he died or even if he died in battle or of illness during the war. He is not listsd in pension records. I have pictures of his wife but no clues about him. If anyone could provide information about how I could search further for him I would appreciate that greatly.
