Interesting! Captain Smith S. Taylor was my great-grandfather.He raised two companies of infantry for the Confederate Army and equipped them from his own finances.Ihave been trying for years to find out who his parents were. He was originally from Kershaw District S.C.His lineage is the one barrier I have not been able to cross in my family tree research. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
