This unit was formed in Pike County Mississipp. I was unable to locate him in the census for Pike, Marion, Amite or other surrounding counties. Since this unit was raised near the Miss./Louisiana border it is possible he may have been from Louisiana. MY buddy Mitch Sanders may be able to find more info once he checks in.

I am compiling a list of Mississipi soldiers and where they are buried, if you find more Mississippi soldiers I would appreciate if you would pass that info to me. Where there any dates on the headstone?
