Alan, I am going by the diaries we have from the members. They state they were surrendered by their officers, they voted to go west and join units not surrendering. They were in route when they were "detained" at Cuba Station, AL. At the time they were surrendered, their station was Fort Jackson, near Choctaw Bluff, AL.
