It seem as though you and the other gentleman have communicated, and I truly appreciate that fact - I need all the help I can get! In my note of appreciate to him, I included a little more background on my research. I thought I'd send that to you, too, just in case you might be interested. ……………we're leaving for a week in D.C. in a couple days to babysit our 2+ and 7 month old granddaughters. I'll be hoping we survive so I can get back to this project when we return! The Patrick Enright I'm researching was a brother of my gr-gr-grandfather (Thomas) who did not stay in Louisiana after he joined his two brothers (Timothy is the other)after coming to America. According to a family narrative, he didn't like the weather in the South or what was happening leading up to the Civil War. He made his way to Ohio and, a few years later, moved on to Wisconsin after his wife and twin daughters in Ireland joined him in Ohio. But the narrative tells about campfires and dangers he encountered along his way to Ohio. Patrick and Timothy stayed where they settled after their arrival in America. I've recently made contact (message board - what else???) with a descendant of the FIRST husband of Patrick's wife - very exciting! The family narrative hadn't mentioned any other husband - maybe it was never know by the Wisconsin-settled family. But my "facts" are known by the recent contact - a man still living in Louisiana. I haven't discovered much about Timothy yet - with the exception of his possible Civil War unit (6th Louisiana Infantry, Company B). That unit had some "history" that I was able to unearth. Patrick's unit had escaped me, but you have surely provided material to think about. Frankly, I don't why I'm even looking for the brothers of my gr-gr-grandfather other than the fact that I like to cross the t's and dot the i's if possible. The genealogy bug is too addicting and never-ending, I guess…………………………………….
