The place I'm looking for would be about 8-9 miles south of Corinth. After the Siege of Corinth (May 1862), the Union Army pursued the Confederates to Booneville, then returned north toward Corinth. The 5th Minnesota stayed at Camp Clear Creek for much of the summer.
