How very nice of you to offer to place a stone in the cemetery for my great great grandfather! I do agree that all evidence points to the fact that this is where he is buried, and I am so pleased to have finally found him.

I do have one problem, however, and that is I do not have an exact date of birth for him, not even an exact year. Though I searched every census record I could find, I have never found Lindsey in a one of them. I found his widow after she married again following his death, but he seems to have eluded the census takers every time. I have accounted for his parents and his siblings, but he is nowhere to be found. They left Georgia between 1850 and 1860 and he is not listed with his family, even in Georgia. The problem might be that the name was misspelled, but I have checked every imaginable spelling. What must I do?
