Im trying to find out information on a ancestor who served in the 10th Regiment, Mississippi Cavalry, Company H. Im almost certain that the FW Carpenter who served in this unit is my Great-Great-Great Grandfather. He lived in Tippah County, MS and this unit is listed as being raised in Tippah County. I would like to know how to find out additional information about his records, the records of this unit and anyother pertinent information. Any help is appreciated.
