I have to agree with Mitchell's assessment: "MS Confederate Graves Registry can be a helpful tool for researching..." However, if you look at any given page and check the discharge dates, the vast majority, with the exception of those that died during the war, show a May or April 1865 date, whereas the vast majority were either already back home, or trying to get there.
