Thank you for your interest and generous offer. If no great problem, from 20 December 1862 to 7 January 1863 would be the best time frame as it would encompass events leading up to the battle and then the retreat.

I know that there are thousnads of letters and scores of diaries out there still held by individuals and as yet have never been published. They are a treasure to be shared. I sometimes get frustrated with my research and writing when I find a unit where there is so little or no information. It bothers me to no end that their voices are not heard and their deeds go unheralded.

I ask and invite anyone who might have such material that deals with Murfreesboro/Stone's River - however seemingly insignificant - to please contact me.
