Re: gr,gr grand fathers burial site

I do appreciate all the responses and help. Rick I will send you an e-mail. I have found out My Grandpa's unit the 21st Arkansas was on 3 june 1862 camped outside Tupelo about 1/4 miles east. I figure in the area of the Priceville camp. They moved around the 1st of July to a camp about 1/4 mile north west of Tupelo where they where until late Sept. as the unit went then to the 2nd battle at Corinth. My Grandpa died 23 Aug. 1862 so I figure it was in this camp north west of Tupelo. I do know that alot of his unit where sick after as they retreated from Corinth in late May. I see a confederate cemetary on the map in that area but can't find any info on it also a cemetery called union that has at least 9 unknown confederates there. Thanks again all, maybe we are getting it narrowed down to an area anyway.
