John:

Barbara Rose Griffith appears on the 1850 census of Lauderdale County, Mississippi as follows:

Source Information:
Ancestry.com. 1850 United States Federal Census [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: The Generations Network, Inc., 2005.
-------------------

Notice on the above census record that Barbara Rose Griffith has a sister named Charity E. A. Griffith, and a brother named Samuel A. Griffith.

The following marriages are found in the records of Lauderdale County, Mississippi:
--------------------
Bride: Charity E. Griffith
Groom: William O. A. Tucker
Date: 25 May 1852

Groom: Samuel A. Griffith
Bride: Sophronia Tucker
Date: 12 Jul 1855

(Source: Mississippi Marriages at Ancestry.com)
----------------------

Notice that Charity E. Griffith and Samuel A. Griffith both married someone named Tucker.

Now take a look at the following 1850 census of Lauderdale County:
--------------------
Arthur Tucker --57--born SC--Farmer
Rebeccah Tucker--37--born NC
Ruth Tucker--92--born NC
Wm O Tucker--24--born SC--Farmer
John Tucker--18--born SC--Farmer
Dratan Tucker--16--born SC--Farmer
Martha Tucker--14--born SC
Sephrone Tucker--12--born MS

Source Citation: Year: 1850; Census Place: Southern District, Lauderdale, Mississippi; Roll: M432_375; Page: 333; Image: 217.
--------------------

On the above census is found William O. Tucker who married Charity Griffith, and Sophronia Tucker who married Samuel A. Griffith.

Notice that William O. Tucker and Sophronia Tucker have a brother named Drayton or Draton Tucker.

I am of the belief that this Drayton Tucker, born about 1834 in S. Carolina, later became the husband of Barbara Rose Griffith---as Barbara had a son named William Drayton Tucker, and as Barbara had a sister and a brother who married into the same family. 3 siblings married 3 siblings.
-----------------

By 1860 the Griffiths have moved to Sebastian County, Arkansas as follows:
------------------
Samuel Griffith--56--born SC
Barbara Griffith--54--born SC
Barbara R Griffith--16--born MS
Benjamin Griffith--19--born MS
Mary Griffith--15--born MS
Ringold Griffith--14--born MS
Wiley McCarthy--30--born GA?
T S Thompson--22--born MS

Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: Center, Sebastian, Arkansas; Roll: M653_50; Page: 1066; Image: 525.
-----------------------

Living next door to the Griffiths in 1860 is their son, Samuel, and 2 small children. His wife, Sophronia Tucker, must have died.
------------------------

Saml Griffith, Jr. --24--born MS
William Griffith--2--born MS
Ellen Griffith--2--born ARK

Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: Center, Sebastian, Arkansas; Roll: M653_50; Page: 1066; Image: 525.
----------------------

I have looked for Drayton or Draton Tucker on the 1860 census, and the following record could possibly be him, but I am not sure. On the 1850 census Drayton had an older brother named John who was born about 1832, and the same is shown here. Please remember that this is just a possibility:
---------------------
John Tucker--28--born NC
Sarah F Tucker--20
Emma J Tucker--1
M D Tucker--26--born SC (Drayton???)

Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: Centre Beat, Lauderdale, Mississippi; Roll: M653_585; Page: 0; Image: 268.
-------------------
At the time of the 1860 census, Barbara Rose Griffith is still unmarried, and Drayton Tucker could have moved to Arkansas and married her shortly after the above census was taken, possibly.

I also found the following marriage record in Lauderdale County, Miss:
---------------------
Bride: Martha Tuckes (Tucker)
Groom: James D. Reddlesperger
Date: 6 Mar 1854

(Source: Mississippi Marriages at Ancestry.com)
----------------------

I am of the belief that this is Martha Tucker, the sister of Drayton Tucker. Riddlesperger was the maiden name of the mother of Barbara Rose Griffith, and James Riddlesperger may have been related to her.

James and Martha Riddlesperger are also found living in Sebastian County, Arkansas on the 1860 census:
---------------------
James Riddelsperger 34--born SC
Martha Riddelsperger 24--born MS
William F Riddelsperger 11--born GA
Samuel H Riddelsperger 8--born GA
Sallie Quultman Riddelsperger 4--born MS
Clayton A Riddelsperger 2--born MS
Benjamin T Riddelsperger 11/12--born ARK

Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: Sugarloaf, Sebastian, Arkansas; Roll: M653_50; Page: 996; Image: 451.
---------------------

There is no military service record under the name of Drayton Tucker that I could find, but there are many records under the name of D. Tucker.

One possibility is the following:

M.D. Tucker
Regiment Name: 11 and 17 Consol'd Arkansas Inf. (This was Col. John Griffith's Regiment.)
Company I
Soldier's Rank_In Sergeant
Soldier's Rank_Out Sergeant

Remember that the above record is just a possibility.

Good luck in your search and best regards--
