I am most interested in getting additional info. on Walter Rorer, your relative, in an effort to learn more about the 20th MS Infantry Regiment and its personnel. 2 of my great-grandfathers served in the 20th MS Infantry, as did Col. Rorer.

I had previously corresponded with another Rorer relative, Emma Rorer Tate, who I believe, is now deceased. She was to send me a Walter Rorer paper she was working on with someone's assistance. Alas, I never received it and attribute it to her death, I suppose. I have copies of the Rorer letters contained in the Duke archives, but would welcome additional letters and any other information which you might have --- including Emma's paper, if you happen to have a copy.
