I am trying to determine with certainty that a relative was a member of Swetts Co, Warren Light Artillery during the War. His name is Valentine Fowinkle, brother of Jacob Fowinkle (correct spelling Voeinkle)Chief of the Fire Dept of Vicksburg at the turn of the century. Family history states Valentine joined the Vicksburg Light Artillery until it's disbanding in 1862 (?) and then returned to Vicksburg and joined Swetts Co, Warren Light Artillery and remained with them through the campaign in TN as a Pvt.
