I saw a list at one time of all the Confederate soldiers who were surrendered at Vicksburg. This would include the batteries of the 1st Mississippi Light Artillery who were not at Port Hudson. If I locate it and find a W.R Lee, I will send you another message. If you are able to go to Port Hudson, they maintain a database of all who served at Port Hudson. Here is the location and telephone numbers. 236 Hwy. 61, Jackson, LA 70748, 225-654-3775 or 888-677-3400. Give them a call, they were very helpful to me during my visit.
