I realize this is an old thread I am reviving. Andrew Jackson Carter (son of Marcus Elam and Lydia Carter born June 27, 1840) was the brother of Amanda Carter Broome. She was my great-great-great-grandmother. I am related to many of the 7th it seems. My reason for starting this was to entertain and educate my little one has a passion for the Civil War. Can you point me in the direction of the cemetary being discussed in this thread?...We live in Covington county. It will mean so much for me to be able to take my sons to an actual grave belonging to one of their Confederate ancestors! They will be soooo proud! :)
