Thanks so very much for the information on R.T. Hall. The Private Rueben T. Hall, age 3, 5'7", with hazel eyes, dark complexion, resident of Panola County, Ms. captured at Spring Port, Ms. paroled at Oxford, Ms. Dec. 23, 1862 matches the year of the one that I am looking for, but it did not say if he was in the 9th Ms. Infantry. Could he have been in the 9th and later joined the 18th. If this was the case, then the Private R.T. Hall, resident of Oxford, Lafayette county, Ms. could be one and the same because he was in the 18th Ms. Calvary. If this is the same man, then he was in the 18th Ms. Calvary, Company E and that was the same unit that C.K. Hall, was in. They were cousins. I want to get the official papers for the Rueben T. Hall, but unsure of what to order.
