May have asked this before, but I don't have anything in my records. Trying to discover if this man was killed in the War. We don't find him on a census after 1860. As always, any help is appreciated.

R. A. Rutherford, 38 years old, was a Private in the Confederate 5th Regiment, Company C Mississippi infantry organized Sept. 5 1861 at Enterprise. Consolidated with 3rd Infantry Battalion between July 24, 1864 and April 9 1865.
