The most important Mississippian in the Civil War is back in the news. Jeff Davis' named was found in Abraham Lincoln's watch, probably put there by a a Mr. L.E. Gross on September 1, 1864. The watch was opened by the Smithsonian to find a secret message honoring Lincoln and instead they found "Jeff Davis", LOL!...
