Stationed at Corinth, February 27, 1862.

Stationed at camp near Knoxville, Tennessee, October 31, 1862.

Stationed at Shelbyville, Tennessee, November-December 1862.

Stationed near Shelbyville, January-February 1863.

January 3.— At night engaged in a skirmish with the enemy near
Murfreesborough.

January 4.— At 1 a.m. began the retreat from Murfreesborough.
Marched to Allisonia by way of Shelbyville, a distance of fifty-
three miles. Remained one day.

January 9.— Returned to Shelbyville, distance twenty-eight
miles.

January 10-31.— We have been stationed [at Shelbyville] since
January 10. Have been out some eight miles on the Tennessee
Pike on picket duty twice, one week each time.
Stationed at picket post on Fall Creek north of Shelbyville, Triune
Pike,

Stationed near Shelbyville, March-April 1863.

No action or marches, since last muster, save the company,
with the regiment, has been doing picket duty eight miles from
the camp on the Triune Pike one week out of every four.
