I have found on Ancestry.com Confederate service records for A.B. Short of Co. B, 20 Confederate Cav (Lay's Regiment). It shows a card number of 51819810. I need to know where I can find more information on this soldier such as where and when he was born. I have a great uncle born in England around 1840 who came here and joined the confederacy. He went by the name Arthur Bennett Short (A.B. Short)
