My great-uncle George Turner Shaw (11th MS H Co), died at Gettysberg. I didn't know until this that he was wounded at Fair Oaks.

Now, here's the strange. For six years (1984 - 1989) I lived less than a mile from the monument (where two generals died) near Fair Oaks. I walked up there (no road) to read the monument and may very well have trod the ground where my great-uncle fought.
