He has an extremely large service record file for a Private of some 44 cards which may be procured through the service noted in the red enclosed box above.

Wounded at the Battle of the Wilderness May 6, 1864, at C. S. A. General Hospital, No. 11, Charlotte, N. C., gunshot wound, right leg below knee, returned to duty August 4, 1864, died September 10, 1864 from mortal wound. He had been previously captured and subsequently exchanged.
