Thanks. I am trying to research the 10th LA. Infantry to see if the co. in Mississippi he lived in might be close to where some of the 10th signed up. His grandson insists it was a Miss. unit, but could be wrong, as he said there were no ties to La., said his unit did fight in Virginia, and that when the war was over his g-father had several guns from the war that he saw as a young child.
