Wm. Sims of the 18th MS INF

I am trying to locate information (particularly the grave) for William Marion Sims who served as a Private in Co. H of the 18th MS Infantry.

Sims was hospitalized in Delavian, C.S.A. General Hospital, Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 10, 1861, due to measles and chronic diarrhea. Due to this illness he was eventually discharged from service on September 19, 1861.

He married Sarah Penelope Collins on August 27, 1868 in Copiah County, MS.

He is last seen in the 1880 census in Copiah County, MS, but possibly received a land grant in Jones County in 1897. Sarah appears in the 1900 census of Jones County as a widow.

Any assistance or information would be greatly appreciated.
