Ron Skellie and Alan Pitts, After a few years I have the original letters in "my" possession. I am reviewing the transcriptions to insure their correctness after which I will donate the originals to MDAH because the letters are rich in Mississippi history and that is where many of the descendants live and where the letters were found. (The family agrees). I will also donate notarized copies to ADAH and to the United Daughters of the Confederacy in Richmond. You two are on my list to notify as to when this will be done (hopefully during Confederate History Monty, April 2010)
