Re: Mississippi Pension requests

The Thomas Jefferson Howell in Scott Co is correct as I know he died in Scott County in early 1900s. As I read about the 39th I noticed they were assigned and reassigned to different brigades. So that might explain how THomas Jefferson ended up in 20th Miss as they were joined with other units. So, William could well be in the 20th or even other units. TJ had 3 brothers---Charles Taylor, Issac E, and William who all originally enlisted in 39th, Co C. Charles T moved to Texas in 1870s and Issac E in late 1800s. Would I likely find their applications, if they made them, in Texas records? Thanks for your help.
