In the 1860 US Population schedule for Carthage, Leake Co. , Miss , dwelling 551, household 551 (pages 85/ 533), the household of W.P. Lee has W.P. Lee as a 62-year old farmer b. VA, with Elizabeth b.1820 SC, William J. b. 1839 AL, John b. 1842 AL, Martha b. 1845 MS, James b. 1847 MS, Wesley [Calvin Wesley] b. 1851 MS, and Charles b. c. 1857.
The family appears in the 1850 Leake Co. census as Wilie Lee family (with husband recorded as b. 1800 SC, rather than VA, and Elizabeth b. 1814 SC.) same four older children and Emmons relatives.
