Rick --

Do you have an outline of organization for this regiment? Just a glance at Dunbar Rowland's introduction to field and staff officers, the different companies and their officer, would lead one to believe that there wasn't much to go on.

For example, a careful reader might want to know when and where Company "I" organized. The service file for Capt. Oliver C. Watson shows that he enlisted on April 5, 1862, Louisville MS. However, the roll begins on April 15th. Was Captain Watson in commission on April 5th? Did other officers and men come from Winston County? How many members were on roll when the company organized, and when did the company report to regimental camp? Was there a company name?
