Jeff - His name was Wistar Nichols Wright and he served in the 1st Mississippi Light Artillery in W. T. Ratliff's Battery as a gunner. He was wounded in the neck at the Battle of Black River Bridge and was also at Vicksburg, where he kept a diary. After the battle of Vicksburg, he was paroled July 7.
