I believe John Cato was killed at the Battle of Harrisburg (Tupelo) and the date is close to what I remember off the top of my head. Camp Milldale was just above Vicksburg, off of HWY 61. About all that is left marking the community is the Volunteer Fire Station. I have several letters an ancestor wrote from Milldale.
