My GGGrandfather, Richard E. Farthing, a Virginian, lived in MaGee, MS during the Civil War. He had been in the 2nd Dragnoons, 8th Inf, Co K at Ft Brooke, FL during the Seminole wars and found his way to MS. He was a tanner by trade and made boots for the Confederate Army. Does anyone have information concerning him? Anything is appreciated.
