In the cyclorama, and in the lobby on the wall, is a scene of the fighting at the Hurt-Troup House.
On a horse is a good likeless of Manigault and by the flag also a likeness of Col. James F. Pressley of the 10/19th S.C. Inf. James was wounded out of the war at that time in hand to hand combat with two Union soldiers. I gave the oration at a UDC/SCV grave marker dedication at his grave in Fairfield, CA in 2004 His brother was C.O. of the 25th S.C. Inf 1862-64 until wounded out of the war in VA. L/Col. John Pressley. His grave is an attraction on our tours for years at Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery, CA. I am the Civil War specialist and former tour docent at the cemetery. The family has a great history and I have copies of about 100 pages total.
James died in 1874 of T.B. in San Fran at a hospital. Grad of Citadel like his brother John.
