Mister, his unit was surrendered at Citronelle, Alabama May 4, 1865 and paroled at Columbus, Miss., May 16.

The 1st Regiment Mississippi Cavalry Reserves was formed about September 3, 1864, by the addition of three companies to the seven companies constituting the 1st Battalion Mississippi Cavalry Reserves.
