Thank you for your help with Joseph L. Lightfoot. His younger brother (my Ggrandfather) is with the 40th MS. Infantry Regt. Co. K, from Attala Co. MS.. I'm not sure but he may have been a deserter. He left MS. and went to Texas with all the family except Joseph L. and his father Julius C. Lightfoot. I am almost sure Julius C. has passed by this time.
The Family is picked up in the 1870 census of Cherokee Co. Rusk, Texas. His death is in 1900 about the time the family moved from Athens, Henderson Co. Texas North to Kaufman Co. Texas.
I don' find him (TJ) on any pension roles. So any help will be most appreciated.
Thank You For Your help.
Tom Lightfoot

T. J. lightfoot is listed as a deserter on his cards. T.J. Lightfoot did not enter the Confederate service in Texas as near as I can tell.
