Details have an odd sound to them. I've seen literally tens of thousands of Confederate paroles dated 1865, not one later than July 1865. It should have a date, place, signature, rank and name of the soldier's command, plus the name, rank and unit of the Federal officer who authorized the parole. Many paroles state the soldier's home state and town.

By the second half of 1865 President Johnson was issuing pardons. Maybe this is a Mississippi pardon.
