Anyone here do a lot of research at the Mississippi Dept of Archives & History? I am interested in getting copies of a known manuscript (William McWillie letters and notebook for the years 1862-64 – when he served Gen Anderson as a division staff officer). The problem is that the MDAH is starting with a base charge of $27 for out-of-state folks plus fees for copying and shipping. I certainly don’t mind paying for something that would take some hunting down, and don’t mind paying some more than just the copy and shipping fees, but I feel this is a little too much. It could easily cost me $60 plus at this rate. Anyway I was wondering if anyone here was available to hire out at a somewhat less rate for a simple copy job. Any help would be appreciated.
