Ok, rats but I understand, and I'll wait until you can respond. I have been looking tonight online at the surrender of Taylor to Canby, and I didn't know it was at Citronelle, Alabama. One regimental history of the 14th Miss Inf I read in the past said that the surviving remnant fought in NC and was surrendered at the Bennett farm near Durham Station. Very different location from Taylor at Citronelle. I wonder if the copyists who did the cards got the right guy. Was any of the 14th with Taylor in Alabama, or maybe this was his detached duty away from the 14th, or he had been left there wounded and ended up with Taylor in the surrender, I don't know how to interpret the remarks on the card.
