Clay: You're sure he died in Jackson, right? The article states that? I'm asking because I was just looking at a 1-page history of the Crescent Regiment, and they were at the Battle of Shiloh in April 1862 and then in Corinth, MS (according to what I read), until the early part of June 1862. I am sure that it is possible that T.M. was either left at Jackson on the way to Corinth or was sent to Jackson from Corinth after becoming sick. -- Jim Huffman, Gainesville Vols
