Thomas R. Godbold, age 17, Private, Captain W. O. Weathersby's Company, 14th Regiment Confederate Cavalry*, enrolled and joined for duty April 14, 1864 at Meadville, Miss., by Lt. Cloy for 3 years or the war, recorded on the June 30, 1864 muster as absent, With the Train, surrendered with his unit at Citronelle, Alabama May 4, 1865 and paroled at Gainesville, Ala. May 12

* This company was formerly Company B, Garland's Battalion Mississippi Cavalry. It subsequently became Company B, 14th Regiment Confederate Cavalry.

His regiment, including Company B, was paroled as Companies C and H of the 3rd, 14th, and 38th Consolidated Mississippi Cavalry
