Pink Palace Museum--where did the stuff go?

I've got a question that I'm pretty sure I never raised here. Does anyone know what happened to the Civil War artifacts that were housed in the Pink Palace Museum back in the 60s-70s. They had the most awesome collection, which included at least one flag that had been found among some other artifacts found in a hidden part of the attic in an antebellum home in Senatobia. I do not remember what unit the flag was from or even what style it was. I had forgotten about it for many years but remembered it recently.

I want to say that there were two or three flags total in the display, but it was probably 40 years ago that I last went there, it could have been one or it could have been several. There could have been more than one flag found in the attic...though that would have been a little strange.

I guess that most of the items were on loan, but what does a museum do with things like 150 year old flags when they decide that they no longer want to show important stuff.

I took my kids to the Pink Palace back in the early 90s, and I did ask a couple of workers where the good stuff went to, but they had no idea.

The owners of the house at the time had moved to Senatobia from St. Louis in the early 60s. They found the hidden room a few years after they bought the house and all the artifacts found there were on loan to the Pink Palace. I don't think that they were still living there by the late 70s.
