I am writing a book about the Chickasaw Bayou Campaign. I believe that this is a very important but very much overlooked battle. I believe that there is enough material out there for a full book on the subject. I am looking for anyone who has possession of any diaries, photos, or letters that would be willing to share those for the book. This is going to be a detailed look at the battle both from the Sherman attack at the bayou to Grant's move down the Mississippi Central and subsequent retreat.
