I checked his cards online at Footnote.Com and there is no indication that he was wounded at Brice's Crossroads. That does not mean that he wasn't however.

I would check the JUne/July 1864 Mississippi newspapers and see if the casualty reports of the battalion were ever posted in them as that was often the case.
