I attended the Champion Hill plaque dedication and had a very nice time. I met some old friends and made some new ones. It really something special to walk upon the grounds that my ancestors fought upon and I thank all those responsible who made this event possible. Even the weather cooperated that Saturday, as well as the next few days when I other sites in/near Vicksburg. Huzzah!
