Curious POW Record

A curious POW record is posted at the following link:

http://www.reflectionsfromthefence.com/2011/04/alfred-darden-civil-war-solider-mystery_10.html

The record lists four prisoners taken at Raymond on May 12th 1863. Three are listed as citizens ... I suspect these were actually members of Captain Hall's State Troops who were providing cavalry support on the Raymond-Utica Road. The fourth is listed as William Delaney or Delancey, with a unit designation that looks like "1st Tenn Batty."

Not sure what unit is being referred to here. Was there an artillerist in any of the Confederate units associated with the Vicksburg Campaign by the name of William Delaney or Delancey?
