Joseph Little was definitely a soldier in this unit -- and a faithful one. He was only absent from his command when he had typhoid and one other disease until he was shot through the knee and permanently disabled at Petersburg, VA. He was retired for service in 1865. He joined his unit at the start of the war at Brownsville, MS. Company was enlisted at Corinth, MS. He was born in VA. Company re-enlisted for the war in VA. Good soldier who was faithful to the end. Ended the war back in MS in hospital, where he had been ordered for "pay and emolument." He was 30 and a farmer when he enlisted. -- Jim H.
