Mr. Alden, I think the confusion concerning the Lt. is the spelling of his name. His correct name is Henry Clay McLeod who was promoted to first Lt. on 7/15/64. The prior post from Mr. Huffman was correct concerning his service. Lt. McLeod was indeed a medical doctor.
